When I heard about an R&B brunch happening in Tupelo, I knew I had to check it out! I’d never been to an event like this before, so I was both curious and excited to experience something new. Let me tell you—it did not disappoint!
Great Atmosphere
The sounds of all your favorite R&B tracks filled the room, setting the perfect tone for a Saturday filled with good food, great music, and even better vibes. The dynamic hosts, Amelia Ball and DJ Gucci Girl kept the energy high and the crowd engaged throughout the event. Their fun, inviting personalities made everyone feel right at home.
Music That Hits Just Right
The DJ for the day, DJ Lil Roy, knew exactly what to play to keep everyone grooving. Whether it was classic hits from greats like Chaka Khan, Mary J. Blidge, and Keith Sweat or newer jams from artists such as Chris Brown, Usher, and Ella Mai, every song choice was on point and went perfectly together. Then, the live performance by Devin Crutcher took the experience to the next level. His soulful voice and captivating stage presence had the crowd swaying, singing, and more! I’d definitely come out and hear him perform again!
Mimosas Galore
What’s a brunch without unlimited mimosas? This event didn’t just have one flavor—they had at least four different kinds, and each one was better than the last. Whether you preferred something fruity or a bit more traditional, there was a mimosa for every palate. I’m not a drinker, but I may or may not have tried all four—no regrets! And I can’t forget the great brunch prepared by Ahmard Neely – everything was delicious!
The People Made The Moment
One of the best parts of the brunch was the people. People from all walks of life came together to enjoy the music, food, and good vibes. There was laughter, dancing, and plenty of laughs. Just a bunch of grown folks having a good time. No drama or negativity was in the building at all!
Final Thoughts
For my first R&B brunch, this was a really fun experience. The combination of incredible hosts, a talented DJ, an awesome chef, and a soulful live performance created a day filled with joy and music. If you’ve never been to an R&B brunch, I highly recommend adding it to your bucket list—especially if it’s anything like this one in Tupelo.
